NEP-2020 | The Plus
With the new education policy, you can follow your passion without sacrificing your school education! Yes, you read it right.
Welcome back to Kitaabi-Fi blogs!
Today we will be discussing over the National Education Policy-2020.
BJP declared about this policy in its manifesto back in 2014. In 2015, a committee led by TSR Subramanian was formed, Smriti Irani was the then HRD minister. Government didn't approve the draft of this committee. Again in 2016, another committee was formed which was led by K Kasturirangan-Former ISRO chief. This committee made its final draft on 31st May, 2019. According to HRD Ministry, this draft has been approved after almost 1.5 Lac suggestions.
1. 5+3+3+4 Model
As of now, our school education is based mostly on 10+2 model where for 10 years, students read common subjects and then for next 2 years, they study subjects of their choice.
NEP is basically 15 years of education model where pre-school and Anganwadi are added now.
2. Secondary Stage
A better aspect about secondary stage is there will be no streams but pool of subjects from which students can choose. There will be Semester wise exams and the sem in which student got more marks will be considered.
3. Higher Education
1st year-Certificate
2nd year-Advanced Diploma
3rd year-Bachelor's Degree
4th year-Bachelor's Degree with research
There will be an Academic Bank of Credit. You will be rewarded with points on passing exams. Plus anyone can rejoin their course from where they left.
Professional courses are excluded from this criteria and M.Phil is no more mandatory for PhD.
4. Coding from Class 6 and Vocational Training
Together with coding, students will be facilitated with vocational training as per their choice, say plumber, electrician, carpenter , music, dance etc. You can follow your passion without sacrificing school education.
In our next blog, we will be talking about Minus of NEP-2020!
Till then, take care and Stay Tuned!

This government the new education policy for students to easy in study.they will give more easy than previous time .it is because students who study that course it will choose how to study in what time.another way is that the it will left the course very soon that it makes difficult to study and whey they are comfortable in which time it could rejoin the course.it will not be harmful for students in future.
